Cricket Powder Pancakes

Thanks to our customer Jesse, @jessejohngarcia for this unique and delicious twist on pancakes made with cricket powder (cricket flour). There’s nothing traditional about these flapjacks! When we asked Jesse about these pancakes he said, “High in protein, low in sugar, and all kindsa yummy.”

He recommends taking his recipe with a grain of salt, so to speak, he cooks by touch!

Ingredients

2 pasture raised eggs
1 banana
1/2 cup (50 g) cricket powder (cricket flour)
1 scoop vegan protein (Plant Fusion brand was used for this recipe)
1/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 tsp baking soda
splash of vanilla
pinch of sea salt…
Dark chocolate chips (Lily’s brand was used for this recipe- they are vegan and sweetened with stevia) *optional

Directions

Put it all in a blender or mix by hand. Whatever your pleasure is.

Cook on low with coconut oil.

Something like that. Haha So many ways to make pancakes healthy. So many other ingredients. Experiment. Alter measurements. Have fun.

Pour on Syrup made with raw honey and berries of your choice.

Sides are scoop of peanut or almond butter, sweet potatoes and broccoli.
