Perfect

Taste good. We put them everywhere. The only defect is that it would take 1kg format. More practical and more ecological.

Interesting flavor

The after-taste is a lot like the "mustard" (Tomalley) of a bluefin crab.

Crunchy and Delicious

First off, one has to be very open minded in terms of what they eat to try something like this. Once you get past the eating insects part, they're very delicious. You can eat them by themselves or add them to something for added texture and protein.

For instance, I added some to teriyaki flavored rice I cooked and I was very pleased.

I highly recommend to anyone willing to try something new and help the environment in the process. I will definitely be buying from Entomo Farms again.

Good quality and organic is available

Good quality and that organic is available, both cricket powder and whole roasted crickets. Fast deliver in Canada. Sadly the shipping cost to Europe is way too high.

Worked great

Hi,

I just want to thank you for the cricket flour and oven roasted crickets I bought last summer (from Next Millennium Farms).

I often make chocolate cakes of the flour, or mix roasted crickets with melt chocolate, which make a perfect snack in the afternoon at work before I go home and train. Storing it in the refrigerator has worked great. Even the package I had stored i room temperature for a few weeks during the summer, before I got to know how to best store it, kept well until it run out, which wasn’t long since it encouraged me to do more of experimentation. 🙂

Best regards,

Göran F

Nice snack

I generally eat crickets when I travel to México. There is a variety of flavors there which I love. Entomo' crickets are nice but fairly dry and more flavors would be great.

Why Eat Insects?

The answer is simple. Insect food is good for your health thanks to all the wonderful nutrients that are naturally occurring. It is also good for the planet’s resources and has a low ecological ‘foodprint’.

Nutritional Benefits of Insect Protein

Whole roasted crickets are a complete protein, boasting all 9 essential amino acids. They are high in B12, fibre, iron, Omega 3 and 6, and many other micronutrients. They are almost 70% protein, have more calcium than milk, more iron than spinach, and almost 20 times more B12 than beef.

The Planet’s Most Sustainable Superfood

Known as one of the most sustainable foods on our planet, whole roasted, plain crickets use very few resources such as land, feed and water. The resources needed to produce 10 grams of insects is 12 times less than the resources required to create 10 grams of beef protein.

If a family of 4 ate 1 meal a week using insect protein, they would save the Earth 650,000 litres of fresh water over the span of a year.

Farming and Safety Standards

All of our insects are farmed with you in mind. We use high quality grain feed for our free-range, crickets. Our harvesting methods use the most human methods of euthanization and are developed to align with the standards applied for the human food industry with hygiene as a top priority.

Once the crickets are euthanized, they are rinsed in potable water, and then roasted. Our insects are free from pesticides, insecticides, antibiotics, additives and preservatives. All inspection and licensing has been attained.
